Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 22, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information Ascentus Studio collects, how we use and protect it, and the rights you hold under Quebec's Law 25, the GDPR, and the CCPA. If anything here is unclear, reach out and we'll walk you through it.

1. Privacy Officer and Contact Information

Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), the person exercising the highest authority within an organization is responsible for ensuring compliance with the law. At Ascentus Studio, the Chief Executive Officer holds default accountability as the Privacy Officer.

You may contact this office directly regarding any formal data access requests, rectifications, or security breach inquiries. We respond to every request within the timelines required by law.

Our platform operates on a “Privacy by Default” framework. This means the most protective privacy settings apply automatically, without any action on your part.

Non-essential tracking technologies, including Google Analytics, Meta Pixels, and behavioral heatmaps, are completely deactivated by default. They will not track your browsing behavior until you provide explicit, affirmative opt-in consent through our cookie banner or preference center. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

3. Cross-Border Data Transfers

We transparently disclose that personal data collected on this platform is transferred outside the province of Quebec for infrastructure hosting, CRM management, and marketing distribution.

The third-party platforms we utilize include:

  • Hostinger — web and application hosting infrastructure.
  • Cal.com — appointment scheduling and booking.
  • HubSpot — customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Netlify — web deployment and content delivery.

A formal Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is completed for all cross-border transfers to guarantee that external destination jurisdictions provide a level of data protection equivalent to that required under Quebec law.

4. Automated Profiling and Decision-Making

This website monitors user behavioral data to execute automated processing, including lead scoring, user profiling, and targeted advertising delivery. These systems help us understand which services may be most relevant to you and prioritize follow-up.

The logic behind these systems combines the answers you provide in our quiz, the pages you visit, and engagement signals to assign an interest score and category. You have the legal right to request information regarding how these automated decisions are determined, and to contest a decision based solely on automated processing.

5. Your Rights, Including Data Portability

As a Quebec resident, you have the following statutory rights over your personal information:

  • Right of Access and Correction — the right to review your personal data and correct any inaccuracies.
  • Right to De-indexation (Right to be Forgotten) — the right to request that we cease distributing your data or unlink it from public indexes.
  • Right to Data Portability — the right to request and receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and technological format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at ascentus.studio@gmail.com. We will confirm your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law.

6. Confidentiality Incident (Breach) Protocols

We maintain a mandatory security breach response framework. If a security incident or confidentiality breach occurs that presents a “risk of serious injury” to individuals, Ascentus Studio will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) and all affected data subjects immediately and without delay.

We also maintain a register of confidentiality incidents as required by law, and we take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of injury and prevent new incidents of the same nature.
